Answers to some of the most commonly asked questions received by email!

Q: What type of camera do you use for blogging?
A: The camera that I use most often is a Canon Sx260HS. It's a great handheld camera that takes clear macro pics thanks to the 20x digital zoom.

Q: Can use your photos on my blog or share/pin/tweet them?
A: Yes! I love knowing that my photos are favorited and shared with others! All I ask is that you give credit/link to UnitedInBeauty.com and do not alter my photos in any way. 

Q: Are your nails real or fake?
A: Absolutely 100% real! While I love the look of acrylic nails, I simply don't have the patience for the upkeep. I would much rather sit and home and come up with new nail designs than sit in a nail salon!

Q: How do you get your nails so long and strong?
A: Typically, I don't really do anything special. Occasionally if I notice my nails are feeling weak or breaking I will take 5000mcg of Biotin daily for 30-60 days. I also always remember to use cuticle cream each night before bed, and throughout the day whenever I think of it.

Q: How you do store your collection?
A: I keep most of my polishes and supplies in a 3 drawer scrapbooking unit commonly called a "melmer". While not specifically designed for nail polish, it's the perfect size and sits nicely on my tabletop. Most craft stores such as Micheal's and Hobby Lobby carry these.

Q: Do you use anything special when you do nail art?
A: There are a few different tools I use when I am doing nail art, but most commonly I use a 10/0 artists paintbrush that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. You can also get an affordable set of brushes on Amazon that will work great if you are just starting out. To make perfect circles, I use this dotting tool set.
 
Q: Who taught you how to do nail art?
A: Myself! A lot of people are under the impression that nail art is something that needs to be taught, but honestly there are so many ways to be creative at any artistic level! The more that I practice and try new designs, the better I get with time. Trust me, even bloggers have fails sometimes!

Q: What inspires you to create your designs?
A: Sometimes even I don't have the answer for that, LOL! A lot of times I find myself inspired by music videos and fashion, but sometimes I just have to let my mind wander and see what happens.
